In October 1997, he made his major label debut with “Himawari no Ferris wheel” as the vocalist of The LOVE, a three-piece band from Hakata. He started his solo career in 2009, releasing the album “Mundane Everyday Landscape” and at the same time starting his writing career in earnest, and is now active as a writer, providing music for many artists. This year, in 2023, THE LOVE celebrated their 25th anniversary, successfully released new songs and toured, and also released a solo album as Yoshitaka Taira.
