Risa MAKUO & Shinnosuke HATA

Risa Kyokuo & Shinnosuke Hata A special Christmas Advent collaboration stage by soprano Risa Kyokuo and baritone Shinnosuke Hata. Risa magao (Soprano) born in kagoshima Prefecture. She has been a student of Uwe Heilmann, Miwako Matsumoto, and Titianna Ducati at the 22nd and 23rd Kagoshima High School Music Competition, and won the 52nd Excellence Award and the 53rd Excellence Award at the Rentaro Taki Memorial All Japan High School Vocal Music Competition. In 2016, she gave her first solo recital in her hometown of Kagoshima, which was well received. Shinnosuke HATA was born in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. She received instruction in vocal music from the late Toshio Moriyama, and entered the vocal music department of Sakuyo Junior College. Studied vocal music under Mr. Motomichi Hasui. Later, he transferred to the conducting department of the university’s Faculty of Music, where he studied conducting under Yasutaka Shiga, Akinori Nakai, and Heiichiro Oyama. During his studies, he played the role of Count Almaviva in Mozart’s opera “The Marriage of Figaro,” the title role and role of Leporello in “Don Giovanni,” and the role of Don Alfonso in “Cosi van tutte” in opera performances sponsored by the university. In 2010, she played the role of Giuseppe in the “Opera commemorating the 80th anniversary of Sakuyo Gakuen’s founding and the signing of a friendship agreement between Kurashiki Sakuyo University and the National Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan” and Verdi’s opera “La Traviata” held as a joint performance of Kurashiki Sakuyo University, a joint project of the Kitakyushu International Music Festival. In 2015 and 2016, he was a soloist for Schubert’s Mass No. 4 in C major and No. 2 in G major at the Izumo Catholic Church. She appeared as Bette in Puccini’s opera “Gianniskicki” at the 2016 opera commemorating the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy. She often played the same role in a traveling performance at the Trieste Verdi Opera House in February 2017. In 2018, he will move his base to Kitakyushu and strengthen his activities in Kitakyushu in parallel with his activities in Shimane.
